“A Lifestyle of Prayer”
This week’s prayer focus: God’s Kingdom!
“‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.”
Matthew 6:9b-10 (NIV)
As we continue to grow in A Lifestyle of Prayer, it is important to remember prayer should be a lifestyle, not an event. View prayer as your first priority, not as the last resort. This week we will begin a two-week focus on praying about the Kingdom of God! We will be looking at various scriptures about the kingdom and praying about the characteristics we find. Jesus taught us to pray that God’s kingdom would come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Pray that your pursuit of God would lead you to a better understanding of God’s kingdom and your part in it. Pray each day for the individuals of Deer Run as well as the body of Deer Run.
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
Ephesians 6:18 (NIV)
Please spend time each day praying about, and writing down, how God would have you live out that day’s aspect of prayer. Thank you!
